The coin depicts the king of Italy Vittorio Emanuele II, around inscription "VITORRIO EMANUELE II", the bottom of the coin year and the coin engraver's signature "FERRARIS". the royal coat of arms is surrounded by a laurel crown, the inscription "REGNO D'ITALIA" (eng. Kingdom of Italy) is inscribed around it, at the bottom denomination "L 20" and the mint mark.
